Care

Caring for your collar

The same advice that ships on the card in every box.

The back of a Medina Mosaic collar: stitched brown leather strap, brass-tone buckle and D-ring

Six habits for leather and wool

Spot-clean

Use a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap.

Air-dry

Dry it away from direct sun and heat.

Never soak

Never soak or machine wash. Wet leather warps and wool felts.

Brush the weave

Brush the wool gently with a soft brush to lift dirt.

Condition the leather

Every few months, use a neutral leather balm.

Off for swims

Take it off for swims and baths. It ages beautifully dry.

The right fit

You should be able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog's neck. Between sizes? Size down for a snug, secure fit. Check the buckle and stitching now and then, and retire any collar that shows a tear.

Made for walks, not swims

Trails, lawns and long afternoons are what these collars are for. Take them off before the river.
