Materials & craft

Leather, wool and brass

Three materials, put together by hand. Here's what goes into every BohoBarks collar and why.

What goes into every collar

Real leather

Each collar is built on a strap of real leather, folded and stitched along both edges in a contrast thread. A row of punched holes lets every size adjust across a range of neck measurements.

Hand-woven Berber carpet

The colour comes from a band of hand-woven carpet wool in the diamonds, zigzags and lattices of Berber rugs. It's set into a channel along the front of the strap and stitched in, so it sits flush instead of riding on top.

Brass-tone hardware

What to expect from a handmade collar

01

Small variations

The pattern lands a little differently on every collar. That's the mark of handwork, not a flaw.

02

Leather that softens

Real leather relaxes and softens with wear. Start on a middle hole.

03

Keep it dry

Water can warp leather and felt the wool. Take it off for swims and baths.

04

Brush, don't wash

A soft brush lifts dirt from the weave. Never machine wash.

Keep it looking good for years

Simple care for leather and wool.
