  1. Wrap a soft tape measure — or a piece of string, then lay it on a ruler — around your dog's neck where the collar sits.
  2. Keep it snug but not tight; measure over the fur.
  3. Pick the size whose range includes that number. Between two? Size down for a snug, secure fit.
  4. Once it's on, two fingers should slide under the collar.

Materials

A strap of real leather, folded and stitched along both edges, with a band of hand-woven Berber carpet wool set flush into the front. Finished with a brass-tone roller buckle and a D-ring for the leash and tags. Because each collar is handmade, the pattern lands a little differently on every piece.

Care

Spot-clean with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap, then air-dry away from direct sun and heat. Never soak or machine wash — wet leather warps and wool felts. Brush the weave with a soft brush, condition the leather every few months, and take the collar off for swims and baths.

Desert Dunes is the warmest of the collection: a cream lattice laid over brick-red and burnt-orange chevrons that rise and fall along the collar like dune ridges at the end of the day.

The weave is dense, knotted wool set into a channel of full-grain leather and stitched along both edges, so the pattern sits flush and holds its shape. It reads beautifully against tan, red and brindle coats.

Available in XS (8–11"), S (10.5–14"), M (13.5–18") and L (16–23").
